Parking

On event nights restriction times for the West End and Kits Point are in effect, so motorists who are not residents of the area will need to arrive early. After the event, please take extra precausion and wait for pedestrians to clear the streets before moving your vehicle.


The West End is closed at 7:30 p.m. and Kits Point is closed at 6:00 p.m.

Parking for people with disabilities

  • A valid disabled persons' decal or placard is required and should be clearly displayed.
  • Users are still obligated to follow the usual payment requirements in the parking lots.
  • Motorists not displaying valid decals/placards and/or parking receipts will be towed.

The following areas are RESERVED strictly for disabled persons’ parking on event nights:

West End

  • Bidwell and Burnaby: on-street parking on east side of 1200 block Bidwell from Burnaby Street to the lane north; and both sides of 1200 and 1300 blocks Bidwell from Beach Avenue to Burnaby Street (from 5:00 p.m. on)
  • Parks Board Administration Office parking lot at 2099 Beach Avenue (from 5:00 p.m. on)

Kits Point

  • Limited number of stalls in the parking lot at Arbutus and McNicholl (from 5:00 p.m. on)

Parking is available on a first come first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
