Road Closures
On event nights, vehicle access into the West End and Kits Point will be limited to residents who can prove residency through car registration or a resident permit parking decal.
Residents, please note the entry points into your areas on the map.
Taxis, emergency vehicles and valid delivery vehicles will also be allowed access.
All others will NOT be allowed vehicle access into these two areas.
Motorists who are not residents of the area will need to arrive in advance of the area closures.
The West End is closed at 7:30 p.m. and Kits Point is closed at 6:00 p.m.
On event nights restriction times for the West End and Kits Point are in effect, so motorists who are not residents of the area will need to arrive early.

Parking for people with disabilities
- A valid disabled persons’ decal or placard is required and should be clearly displayed.
- Users are still obligated to follow the usual payment requirements in the parking lots.
- Motorists not displaying valid decals/placards
The following areas are RESERVED strictly for disabled persons’ parking on event nights:
West End
- Bidwell and Burnaby: on-street parking on east side of 1200 block Bidwell from Burnaby Street to the lane north; and both sides of 1200 and 1300 blocks Bidwell from Beach Avenue to Burnaby Street (from 5:00 p.m. on)
- Parks Board Administration Office parking lot at 2099 Beach Avenue (from 5:00 p.m. on)
Kits Point
- Limited number of stalls in the parking lot at Arbutus and McNicholl (from 5:00 p.m. on)
Parking is available on a first come first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
